Welcome. I’m a Vancouver-based Canadian photographer who has spent the past 12 years working in the polar regions as a photographer and expedition guide. I divide my time between Antarctica, the high Arctic, and home in British Columbia.

My work comes from long days on frigid waters and remote shorelines, photographing penguins, seals, whales, seabirds, bears, and polar landscapes from small boats and isolated landing sites. Years in these environments have reinforced the importance of patience and respect for wildlife.

When I’m not in the field, I’m based in Vancouver with my wife and our two kids, enjoying time outdoors on local trails and nearby beaches.
